First, let me say how grateful I am that you have taken the time to stop by Farmhouse by Design. This blogging journey has been on my heart for quite some time and I am excited to see where it leads. I am passionate about all things home — decor, organization, diy, cooking — and I want to help you create a home that you love. A place of comfort. A place to make memories with your family. A place to nourish and refresh your soul. I also hope to be able to bring a little joy and inspiration to your life each week as we walk through this crazy, sometimes overwhelming thing called ‘life.’
What you will find here on the blog:
Farmhouse decor – whether vintage or modern – evokes a feeling of simpler times. I love to decorate with whites and wood tones, greenery and simple pieces that evoke a feeling of calm. I also like to decorate on a budget. While I do love to buy quality pieces, I don’t want to break the bank in order to decorate my home. Redecorating with items you already own is also a great way to make a space feel different without spending very much, if any.
Organization is important to me as I function better in a space that is free from clutter and where I can easily locate items that I need. And while my organization is first and foremost for function, I also like for it to be pretty.
While I enjoy going out for a nice meal, I much prefer to be at home in the kitchen. It is one of my favorites rooms in the house. I’ll be sharing some of my tried and true favorites. I have been gluten free for almost two years and have adapted some of my favorite recipes to still taste amazing while they suit my gluten free lifestyle.
Last, but certainly not least, I hope to bring you a little inspiration. My faith is so very important to me and I love to share a favorite song or book that has impacted my life.
It is my hope to be able to bring you inspirational ideas, tips and helpful information as you create a home that you love. No matter what stage of life you are in, or what season you may find yourself in at the moment, there is always something you can do to make your space reflect your lifestyle. Stay awhile, look around and be inspired!
And most importantly, thank you for stopping by — after all, this blog is for you!
